America's second quarter of the century begins with Trump
Redefining America's role in the world, the great American comeback.
America’s Second Quarter of the Century Begins
With Trump in office, the U.S. is poised to dominate the news for the next four years and set the agenda for American policy in the second quarter of the century. Many promises were made, and a grand vision was presented—so let's decipher it.
The First 25 Years
First, look at what happened during the first 25 years of the 21st century. The War on Terror, the real estate collapse, the first Black President, and COVID are just some of the major events in the U.S. Meanwhile, Russia got involved in three wars—Georgia, Ukraine, and Syria—and sent private mercenaries across Africa.
China is competing directly with the U.S., surpassing it in GDP (PPP), and is moving aggressively to secure the South China Sea, investing billions in its military. Iran created a network of allies in the region and attempted to dominate, but its efforts are ending in defeat. Argentina has finally gotten its act together and is setting its sights on becoming a dominant force. Britain left the EU. Let’s not forget COVID and the surge in immigration toward Europe and the U.S.
But How Are We Transitioning to the Second Act?
The privatization of space travel is becoming a reality, with companies like SpaceX and Rocket Lab dominating launches.
AI, championed by NVIDIA, is becoming a reality and is about to intertwine with everyday life. Quantum computing is also showing promise of becoming viable.
The age of AI is driving an increased demand for energy, with nuclear energy returning to the forefront. Small reactors and billions in investment from mega-caps are leading the charge.
Drones and AI have forever changed the face of warfare, as witnessed in Ukraine.
Legacy media is being replaced by new-age media, mainly social media.
Pharmaceutical companies are making breakthroughs, and genetic engineering is becoming a reality.
What Does the Future Hold?
It is a great time to be alive! The world is changing at a rapid pace, and many things are evolving.
This task falls on Donald J. Trump to redefine America's role in the world.
Firstly, he is keeping the American tech oligarchy close. In the age of AI, this alignment can be crucial to ensuring national interests are met and that the U.S. leads the world.
Secondly, AI and big tech will require enormous amounts of energy. Trump is deregulating energy production to meet America’s needs, secure her allies, and reduce dependence on Russian gas in Europe. He also strongly supports nuclear energy.
During the election, Trump dominated social media. Through his constant remarks about fake news, he is driving the final nail into the coffin of the old establishment.
Through the Department of Government Efficiency, he is aiming to free up spending and redirect it toward what is truly needed.
We are going to Mars! The space race is on again, and the question is: who will conquer the final frontier?
The world is changing, and so are alliances. After famously criticizing NATO allies for not carrying their weight, the U.S. is redefining who falls under its protection and who does not.
In a world where China and Russia pursue expansionist policies, Trump’s rhetoric on Greenland and the Panama Canal signals that the U.S. can play that game as well.
The world is being reshuffled, and the pioneers of new technologies and exploration (space, ocean, and Antarctica) will emerge on top. We will witness how the U.S., China, Russia, the EU, and others handle themselves—and, of course, we will find good investments to profit along the way. After all, we live in a capitalist world!
